We propose a circular polarized disc patch antenna for tri-band operation. The design is based on the combination of two mechanisms: modal degeneration applied to a circular patch, and gap-coupling with parasitic elements, resulting in a first mode of operation at 2.42 GHz and two additional mode at 5.00GHz and 5.30GHz. The frequencies of operations as well as the circular polarization attained makes the proposed device suitable for WiFi application in both S-band and C-band.

Abstract
