FIELD MEASUREMENTS OF ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCES OF BUILDING COMPONENTS: THE ITALIAN CONTEXT

The paper reports the results of some measurements of acoustical properties of buildings components carried out in real buildings. The whole of the data gives a general view of the relation between acoustical protection requirements and typical Italian building solutions. The comparison with limiting values given by Italian and other European countries legislations points out the necessity of improving the quality level of the building construction practices and defining new typologies of internal partitions. The analysis of results obtained, together with other data, regarding laboratory measurements, allows some consideration about the relationship between acoustic properties and materials used in the realizations.
