Four gene regions in two Catalase genes were shown to be polymorph among 12 species and 24 clones within the Populus genus. SSCP markers show a greater ability than PCR-RFLP for detecting DNA polymorphism in intraspecific variants of the poplar Cat 1 and Cat2 genes.

Abstract
