The advanced development of e-mobility, now established and consolidated, focuses on maintenance and rescue procedures on electric or hybrid vehicles on which arc flash phenomena can occur that may involve maintenance workers and rescuers. These phenomena mainly occur in direct current in the electrical energy storage system, consisting of batteries or super capacitors whose voltages can reach up to 800 VDC. In our opinion, it is the task of the vehicle manufacturer to conduct a risk analysis by arc flash to be included in the rescue sheet or in the vehicle use and maintenance manual. The article exposes the use of DC arc flash analysis in e-mobility in order to provide maintenance and rescuers with useful safety information.

Abstract
