Paesaggi in latenza

L'esempio della laguna veneziana rappresenta uno scenario dove la storia ha costruito dal niente un paesaggio, trasformandolo più volte, in cui gli insediamenti hanno seguito le stesse sorti. La storia percepibile di questi luoghi evidenzia l’estrema ricchezza di questo territorio accumulata nel passato e pertanto anche la necessità di recuperare quegli oggetti e quei valori morfologici che l’uomo vi ha prodotto in tempi lunghissimi: nei loro aspetti inerenti alla forma ed alle tipologie in cui si sono espressi, riguardandoli nel momento storico che li hanno prodotti e nei diversi modi in cui sono stati successivamente modificati e diversamente usati nel tempo. La lettura storica del paesaggio nel suo formarsi è la sola che ne consente l'interpretazione nell'attualità in una progettualità cosciente. The example of the Venetian lagoon represents a scenario where history has built a landscape from nothing, transforming it several times, in which the settlements have followed the same fate. The perceptible history of these places highlights the extreme wealth of this area accumulated in the past and therefore also the need to recover those objects and morphological values that man has produced there in a very long time: in their aspects inherent to the form and types in which they expressed themselves, regarding them in the historical moment that produced them and in the different ways in which they were subsequently modified and used differently over time. The historical reading of the landscape in its formation is the only one that allows its interpretation in actuality in a conscious planning.
