As designers we have an obligation to design taking into consideration the complexity of reality; the only way to face it is to adopt a multidimensional and dialogical design thinking. If it is true that the goal is to understand the qualities of the complex system in which we live not as a simple sum of its parts but as a system of complex interrelationships, where the qualities derive from the relationships and interrelationships between the components of the system itself, the quality of a product-system is measured not so much by its ability to create useful value by its individual parts, as much as its ability to create relationships between its components. The paper will present a research project where products equipped with technology have been created to make the human, technological and natural systems interact.
