Qualità ambientale e inclusione sociale: un piano partecipato nelle favelas di Salvador de Bahia, Brasile

e paper presents the results of the research “Water Management Participatory Plan and valorisation of water resource in Cajazeiras V, Salvador de Bahia, Brazil”, which, through the involvement of the local community, has produced a project for the transformation of an informal area in the suburbs of the Brazilian metropolis. e need to solve the problems linked to the lack of basic infrastructure (water, sewage, drainage of the soil) became an opportunity to reflect on the quality of the environment and a tool for building social inclusion. e defined solutions have become the basis for an international cooperation project through the involvement of Italian and Senegalese partners.
