The Ager Project is focused on the development of an innovative monitoring methodology for Precision Fertilization. The monitoring in proximal sensing of the soil apparent electrical conductivity and the acquisition in remote sensing of multispectral images allow managing the spatio-temporal variability in the soil-cropenvironment system. Through the identification of homogeneous zones and their representative points as well as the elaboration of prescription maps and with the help of fertilizer spreader, with separate control of the distribution sections (Casa et al., 2011), the right doses of N fertilizer can be applied (Castrignanò et al., 2009).
