L’abitare utopico (in cerca di nuove utopie)

Se poco più di un anno fa qualcuno ci avesse descritto il mondo che stiamo co-noscendo in questa complessa fase avremo certamente pensato ad un nuovo romanzo utopico o distopico. L’utopia è pensiero progressivo, tende a dare forma al futuro me-diando conoscenze reali con visioni immaginarie. La distopia è un’utopia negativa ed è interessante rilevare come molte delle prefigurazioni distopiche siano state superate da un presente che ci richiede una nuova visione della società e un ridefinirsi dell’abitare. Il testo, partendo dall’analisi della letteratura utopica dapprima e di quella distopica a seguire guarda all’opportunità di ridisegnare il nostro stare al mondo e di quanto tale opportunità investa la dimensione dell’abitare. Had someone described, a little more than a year ago, the world that we're living in today, we would have certainly thought of a new utopian or dystopian novel. Utopia is progressive thinking, it tends to shape the future by mediating real knowledge with imaginary visions. In contrast, Dystopia is a negative utopia and it's interesting to note how many dystopic ideas have been surpassed by a present that requires a new vision of society and a new definition of dwelling. This text begins with the analysis of utopian and dystopian literature and investigates opportunities to rethink our sense of being in the world and of dwelling.
