Pandemic crisis and the monopoly of scientific truth: a Bourdieusian approach.

La prospettiva bourdieusiana sul scampo scientifico e sul processo di costruzione del monopolio legittimo della verità scientifica nella crisi pandemica da coronavirus. The paper aims at putting Bourdieusian approach to the test by investigating the ways monopoly of scientific truth has been established during the crisis due to coronavirus disease, both with respect to appearance and development of the pandemic phenomenon, and to health-care policies have been adopted. The struggle waged by orthodoxy against heterodoxy - namely by the dominant narratives against alternatives ones - to gain and to maintain the monopoly of legitimate truth has been very aggressive, criminalizing and silencing opinions and approaches which were not aligned with dominant narrative.
