Adalimumab, an anti-TNF-alfa agent is the biologic of chioice for the treatment of severe forms of HS.data from the literature concerning risk of infections in HS patients on ADA treatment in PIONEER I and II trials are reported but in general there not many data concerning the risk of developing infections of the respiratory tract caused by RNA-viruses. In this subset of HS patients, medical decision concerning suspention of therapy ha to be taken with great caution.
