The need for sustainable production processes is leading to the quick spread of robotic solutions. The smart machine for agricultural solutions high-tech (SMASH) project focuses on developing a robotic collaborative ecosystem made up of a ground vehicle, a soil monitoring unit, an aerial unit and a mobile service unit. In this study, the functionality test results of the elements that make up the RoboSpray unit for crop protection in the vineyard were reported. Tests conducted on artificial targets have shown a good response to the detection system and the elements developed for performing spot spraying
