With the aim to elucidate whether the use of HS can be of usefulness in clinical practice to stratify COVID-19 patients in relation to their disease-associated risk, we collected 48 consecutive cases (all positive for SARS-CoV-2 confirmed by reverse transcriptase–polymerase chain reaction assay in upper and/or lower respiratory specimens) admitted to our institution from March 20 to April 20, 2020.
