Discusses the Moses apocryphon 'Munajat Musa' in its various forms and languages (Arabic, Syriac, Armenian, Aljamiado, Malay, Hausa, Swahili, Geez, Farsi, Turkish etc) and argues that it is in all likelihood an Islamic text in origin. It deals with Islamic ethics and history in a nutshell and portrays Moses as a proto-Muslim. The Jews in Ethiopia and Christians in the Middle East made their own adaptations. The article includes a preliminary list of manuscripts.
