The work regards a GPR survey performed in the town of Ferrara (Italy). The survey was aimed at determining whether a specific area, property of the University of Ferrara, is suitable for the construction of a new student facility. Indeed, to start the construction works, it is necessary to perform an accurate investigation of the underground, to single out all possible pre-existing hidden structures and elements. Moreover, it is also necessary to rule out the possibility of any archaeological remains in the underground of the interested area. For the present survey, GPR data analysis revealed the presence of several objects in the underground, as metallic rebars, two tanks and some tubes at several depths.

Abstract
