In management processes referring to complex assets, particularly healthcare building assets, the adoption of tools for integrated management of processes, services, activities, spaces, equipment is ingrained. The BIM - Building Information Modeling approach facilitates the integration of different sectors, responsibilities and competencies. This article describes an advanced experience carried out in the context of a hospital complex aimed at verifying interoperability between CAFM - Computer Aided Facility Management - BIM systems using open formats such as IFC - Industry Foundation Classes and optimizing information integration of data for maintenance-management purposes.
