In this paper, the Extended Describing Function (EDF) is used to model a wireless power transfer (WPT) system with Series-Series (SS) compensation. Different control strategies used to control the output voltage are compared. The control parameters used to perform the control is the input voltage, the duty cycle and the operating frequency. The control to output voltage Laplace transfer functions are derived and the respective PID controllers are designed. The dynamic behaviors of the closed-loop systems are compared through Simulink simulations. © 2022 IEEE.

Abstract
In this paper, the Extended Describing Function (EDF) is used to model a wireless power transfer (WPT) system with Series-Series (SS) compensation. Different control strategies used to control the output voltage are compared. The control parameters used to perform the control is the input voltage, the duty cycle and the operating frequency. The control to output voltage Laplace transfer functions are derived and the respective PID controllers are designed. The dynamic behaviors of the closed-loop systems are compared through Simulink simulations. © 2022 IEEE.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
