Dal 1662 al 1669 Francesco Santurini di Stefano fu architetto responsabile degli allestimenti teatrali alla corte bavarese dell’elettore Federico Maria Wittelsbach e della consorte Adelaide Enrichetta di Savoia. A Santurini si deve la messa in scena del ciclo degli Applausi festivi (1662), dato in occasione del battesimo dell’erede al trono Massimiliano Emanuele, e la realizzazione del magnifico bucintoro elettorale sul lago di Starnberg. Questo contributo ripercorre l’attività dell’architetto-scenografo veneziano tra la Serenissima e Monaco attraverso l’apporto di nuovi documenti e la rilettura di fonti finora trascurate. / From 1662 to 1669, Francesco Santurini di Stefano was the architect responsible for the theatrical productions at the Bavarian court of Elector Frederick Maria Wittelsbach and his consort Adelaide Enrichetta of Savoy. Santurini was responsible for the staging of the Applausi festivi cycle (1662), given on the occasion of the baptism of the heir to the throne Maximilian Emmanuel, and for the realisation of the magnificent electoral bucentaur on Lake Starnberg. This contribution traces the activity of the Venetian architect-scenographer between Venice and Munich through the contribution of new documents and the re-reading of hitherto neglected sources.
