The paper focuses on the design contribution to the field of intercultural education in pre-schools, which has been the author’s doctoral research topic. In order to achieve its goal, the research has been conducted following an inter- disciplinary approach which combines anthropological and pedagogical theories, designing and testing a series of innovative educational toys for kindergarten. The outcomes show how an intercultural approach is necessary to over- come the prejudices that could be passed on in the social and family environment, in order to make children more responsible and capable of build-ing more inclusive communities for the future.

Abstract
