The field of lead halide perovskites film deposition has made a great stride in the last decade. On the bases that fully inorganic perovskite-like materials are more stable to air and UV light respect to the traditional organic- inorganic hybrid perovskites, the efforts to achieve homogeneous, stoichiometrically and structurally homoge- neous thin films of these materials have greatly increased. Since the huge practical interest for the realization of large scale, cheap and flexible photovoltaic devices, this field of research has observed a very rapid growth. In this review, we summarize the intensive research efforts spent in the synthesis and deposition of thin film of fully inorganic metal halide perovskites, including liquid, solid and gas phase deposition methodologies high- lighting the main pros and drawbacks.
