Venturi mask is the pioneer of High-Flow Oxygen Therapy Concepts

Abstract: Oxygen therapy should be carefully considered and monitored because, like any other medication, it can cause harm to patients if misused. This paper focuses on the distinction between low-"ow and high-"ow oxygen therapy. A discussion about the Venturi system for oxygen administration is carried on, given that some authors include it in the low-"ow devices group despite its characteristics to deliver high-"ow therapy.
