This paper presents a single-point feed patch antenna for operation at 2.45 GHz. The antenna consists of patch element, enhanced by two pairs of parasitic elements. The first pair comprises two coplanar circular ring section elements. The second parasite is a stacked patch, analogous to the active one, placed at an optimal distance. Both parasites are aimed to enhance the antenna gain, despite the low-cost and low-performance substrate exploited. The best resulting structure exhibits a gain of 7.5dB from 2.3GHz to 2.6GHz, with a maximum gain of 8.0 at 2.45 hence suitable for application in the ISM band.

Abstract
This paper presents a single-point feed patch antenna for operation at 2.45 GHz. The antenna consists of patch element, enhanced by two pairs of parasitic elements. The first pair comprises two coplanar circular ring section elements. The second parasite is a stacked patch, analogous to the active one, placed at an optimal distance. Both parasites are aimed to enhance the antenna gain, despite the low-cost and low-performance substrate exploited. The best resulting structure exhibits a gain of 7.5dB from 2.3GHz to 2.6GHz, with a maximum gain of 8.0 at 2.45 hence suitable for application in the ISM band.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
