Abstract
We propose to discuss a theory in statu nascendi–we call it socioanalysis of self-inheritance [1]–inspired simultaneously by our teacher Pierre Bourdieu’s socioanalysis (hence Freudian psychoanalysis) and Giovanni Stanghelini’s phenomenological psychopathology.(It wouldn’t have been possible without Garfinkel’s ethnomethodology and his famous experiments.) The problem of this practice-oriented theory is ‘How is successful self-inheritance possible?’,‘self-inheritance’meaning the overcoming of both, in Freudian terms,‘psychopathologies of everyday life’, and biographical psychopathologies due to losing biographical illusio. For it is to failures of self-inheriting, ie resolving what Bourdieu calls ‘contradictions of inheritance’, that losses of identity of agents (or counter-agents) are due, losses preventing us from ‘becoming who we are’,‘staying who we are’,‘ceasing to be who we are’.
