Although some studies compared the efficacy and safety of PN with those of radical nephrectomy (RN) for T2 or higher stage renal cancer, including small but invasive cancer, evidence for the treatment confined to T2 renal cancer, all of which are >7 cm, is still limited. Therefore, it is of great importance that the authors have compared the efficacy and safety of PN with those of RN for T2 renal cancer with a large cohort.
