The education and training of future school-teachers are considered a strategic issue at a global level to deal with sustainability, well-being, inclusion, and social cohesion. How are these themes articulated in terms of the teach-ers’ professional standards? These are key is-sues focused by a Teachers Education Arena for specific action within the European Uni-versity Alliance for Well-Being. Based on a plurality of national experiences, the Arena is envisaging the identification of some areas that synthesize and enhance the plurality of existing professional standards and combining them with the new challenges for education today. The contribution presents a first comparison of national standards related to the partner countries toward the definition of new stand-ards for the teachers of the future.

Abstract
