Yéyé Style. Les night-clubs en France et en Italie: artistes, architectes et culture de la jeunesse dans les années 1960

Through a comparative approach, the article addresses the architecture of the new night clubs emerging in the early-mid 1960s in France and Italy. The social issues of the new generation rising at that time, the search for individual and generational identity of the youth, is mirrored by the radical experimentations in art and architecture, which were distinctive of the night-clubs designed for the young people by artists and architects belonging to the same generation.
