Confirming, in contemporary architecture, the character of the places regenerating the ancient events that generated them is the main intention of a series of projects that the Italian architect Paolo Zermani is carrying out along the ancient routes of the Via Francigena such as the Teatrino di Varano, the Town Hall and the Chapel of Noceto, and the Chapel in the woods. Through a critical reading, the article aims to deepen the significant and profound link between two of this works and their cultural and religious context.
