In the restoration of the Grotta di Fra’ Felice, high on the cliff-side below the Charterhouse of San Giacomo on the island of Capri, the Milanese architect Piero Bottoni relinquishes all personal language, anything that could be uniquely his. Quietly, he seems to be concerned only with grasping the spirit of the place and extend it toward a greater future.
