Il Galateo da tavola occitano del ms. Ashburnham 105

Fra i molti testi tramandati dal trecentesco manoscritto Ashburnham 105 della Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana di Firenze è incluso, alle cc. 16v-18r, un interessante trattatello occitano in 118 octosyllabes, adespoto e anepigrafo, sulle regole di buona creanza da osservarsi a tavola, risalente forse alla fine del XIII secolo; un poemetto che si inserisce nel filone di testi didattici in rima che i francesi chiamano Contenances de table. Del testo, che non ha mai ricevuto grandi cure filologiche, si propone qui una nuova edizione critica commentata, con traduzione e glossario. The fourteenth-century manuscript Ashburnham 105 of the Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana in Florence includes (cc. 16v-18r), among the many texts it contains, an interesting, titleless Occitan treatise in 118 octosyllabes written by an unknown author, on the rules of good manners to be observed at the table. Possibly dating back to the end of the 13 th century, this short poem fits in the line of rhymed didactic texts that the French call Contenances de table. The text, which has never received great philological care, is proposed here in a new critical edition with commentary, translation and glossary.
