Une maison pour tous. Les Habitations à Loyer Modéré de Luigi Moretti en Algérie

Starting in the late 1960s, Luigi Moretti (1906-1973) designed numerous public works in Algeria, commissioned directly by the government led by Houari Boumédiène. Moretti designed residences for more than six thousand apartments, schools for more than sixteen thousand students, four shopping centers, to which numerous works executed by the Moretti Studio, were added after the architect's death. The paper points out the genesis of Moretti's most important interventions in the field of social housing, highlighting the planimetric, architectural and social characteristics of the neighborhoods built.
