The purpose of the special issue is to discuss and make sense of existing de-radicalisation and counter-radicalisation legal and policy frameworks in a number of contemporary democracies, namely Austria, Finland, Germany, Italy, Poland and Turkey, in the chassis of EU hard and soft-law norms. The research undepinning the special issue has been developed in the frame of the EU funded Horizon 2020 research project titled “DeRadicalisation in Europe and Beyond: Detect, Resolve, Reintegrate" (2020-2024) - Grant agreement ID: 959198.
