Progettare l’utopia: la rete informativa di genere femminile Lilith

The article focuses on the constitution and development of the Lilith In- formation Network on the basis of the documentation of the Libreria delle Donne di Firenze (Florence Women’s Library) located in the Historical Ar- chives of the City of Florence. After the birth, on a national level, of the Coordination of the Women’s Documentation Centres, the project of the Network - as a tool for describing and accessing the documents and books owned by the Centres - was launched. During the 1990s, the project grew - flanked by the elaboration of the specia- lised thesaurus Linguaggiodonna - until it became a platform for the valorisa- tion of women’s archives in particular.
