La “normalità” era il problema? Il tirocinio in Servizio Sociale prima, durante e dopo la pandemia

Social work placement experienced an unprecedented conjucture during Covid-19 pandemic. On the one hand, guaranteeing students a placement was extremely difficult with possible negative consequences on their career and future skills. On the other hand, this extreme difficulty pushed for unprecedented innovation. The article explores changes and innovations of placement in Italy in 2020-2022 and it discusses about their current value in the perspective to understand if the pandemic can be considered as a critical juncture. In the first section, we recall the key-aspects of social work placement in Italy. In the second section, we focus on changes and innovations of placement through a survey and a case-study analysis, and we deal with their current value through a follow-up investigation. In the third part, we discuss the emerging results and the current state of social work placement.
