In conclusion, the findings of the APULEIO study, aimed at evaluating PROs in apixaban treated patients, showed the 6-month improvement of HRQL and depressive symptoms without any loss in therapy satisfaction. A positive action of oral anticoagulants on PROs could strengthen the adherence to guidelines recommendations and reduce drug discontinuation.

Abstract
