A four-step complementary research approach was adopted for Phlomis fruticosa L. Micromorphological, histochemical, and phytochemical surveys were performed. The capitate trichomes were the only glandular morphotype. For the first time, histochemical results proposed digital images for the species. The EO profile was dominated by sesquiterpenes.

Abstract

A four-step complementary research approach was adopted for Phlomis fruticosa L. Micromorphological, histochemical, and phytochemical surveys were performed. The capitate trichomes were the only glandular morphotype. For the first time, histochemical results proposed digital images for the species. The EO profile was dominated by sesquiterpenes.
