The Impact of Research" Contribution "TEMP-: a bottom-up knowledge network as a research method for a dialogue between theories and practices in the emergency field" The inter-university research network TEMP was founded during the COVID-19 pandemic as a bottom-up response to the need for dialogue in the doctoral field. The common factor among the young researchers within this network is their scientific interest in the topic of post-emergency temporariness in Italian marginal territories. Beyond providing technical solutions, there’s a necessity to activate networks of knowledge. The TEMP- network aims to act as a game changer by bridging the current gap interpreted as a fertile space for dialogue. The network stands as an enabling cultural mediator to overcome conventional practices by overturning the assumptions of the problem around trans-scalar/sectorial/disciplinary tables. Finally, as a method, TEMP- attempts to problematise the cognitive framework and systematise shared perspectives. Going beyond theoretical boundaries, the network interacts with practitioners to collectively test methodologies and results, opening up a spectrum of possible action trajectories.
