Felipe Pablo de San Leocadio has not enjoyed the same critical attention as his father, the more well-known Paolo da San Leocadio. While awaiting a monographic study on the former, this article proposes new reflections on his output thanks to the emergence on the market of two previously-unseen panels, attributed here to Felipe Pablo. The article also takes into consideration other paintings by the Valencian painter, such as the Adoration of the Shepherds in the Prado, for which a new chronology is suggested and some comparisons are proposed with works by “Fernandi” Llanos and Yáñez—artists who exerted a profound influence on Felipe Pablo’s painting.

Abstract
Felipe Pablo de San Leocadio has not enjoyed the same critical attention as his father, the more well-known Paolo da San Leocadio. While awaiting a monographic study on the former, this article proposes new reflections on his output thanks to the emergence on the market of two previously-unseen panels, attributed here to Felipe Pablo. The article also takes into consideration other paintings by the Valencian painter, such as the Adoration of the Shepherds in the Prado, for which a new chronology is suggested and some comparisons are proposed with works by “Fernandi” Llanos and Yáñez—artists who exerted a profound influence on Felipe Pablo’s painting.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
