The last fragment of Cassiodorus' panegyrics (Or. fr. p. 483-484 Traube) mentions an unnamed domina, who has been identified with either Amalasuintha or Matasuintha, respectively daughter and granddaughter of Theoderic the Great. This paper argues that the identification with Matasuintha is more likely to be correct, and includes a new critical edition of the fragment, as well as an Italian translation and a commentary.

Abstract
The last fragment of Cassiodorus' panegyrics (Or. fr. p. 483-484 Traube) mentions an unnamed domina, who has been identified with either Amalasuintha or Matasuintha, respectively daughter and granddaughter of Theoderic the Great. This paper argues that the identification with Matasuintha is more likely to be correct, and includes a new critical edition of the fragment, as well as an Italian translation and a commentary.File in questo prodotto:
