Existing flat slab buildings could require punching shear strengthening of R/C slabs because of design or construction errors, poor quality materials or an increase in vertical loading. Different techniques for punching shear strengthening exist, nevertheless, there is not a unified approach for their analysis. In this paper the method developed by the authors in previous research, based on the Critical Shear Crack Theory (CSCT), is revisited in light of the new Eurocode 2, showing how the new formulation can be applied to different strengthening techniques and giving some suggestions for the verification.

Abstract
Existing flat slab buildings could require punching shear strengthening of R/C slabs because of design or construction errors, poor quality materials or an increase in vertical loading. Different techniques for punching shear strengthening exist, nevertheless, there is not a unified approach for their analysis. In this paper the method developed by the authors in previous research, based on the Critical Shear Crack Theory (CSCT), is revisited in light of the new Eurocode 2, showing how the new formulation can be applied to different strengthening techniques and giving some suggestions for the verification.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
