The increase in national and international student mobility has led, since the late twentieth century, to a considerable increase in the demand for housing places in the member countries of the European Union. With the aim of responding to this demand with an adequate supply of housing, many countries have undertaken policies aimed at creating university housing and residences, through programs involving public and private entities. In Italy, L. 338/00 constitutes a first example of an organic multi-year program specifically dedicated to state co-financing for interventions aimed at upgrading existing housing places and increasing the number of housing places for university students. Starting in 2022, new public intervention instruments linked to specific resources and investments of the NRP were introduced. In addition to reporting the updated state of the art of Italian legislation in the field of university student housing, the article describes the status of implementation of publicly funded interventions.

Abstract
In addition to reporting the updated state of the art of Italian legislation in the field of university student housing, the article describes the status of implementation of publicly funded interventions.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
