Climate change and re-naturing have become one of the greatest challenges for humanity. The protection and restoration of native biodiversity and the need for re-naturing urban space has been defended as the way to rebalance ecosystems, combat climate change, and produce healthier spaces. This paper focuses on urban greening and tackles climate adaptation and neutrality in areas with socially segregated communities proposing a cross-sectorial, participative and innovative methods of inclusion. The reflections presented in this paper originate from a project proposal that responds to a call for Innovation Action by Horizon Europe. It focuses on rehabilitation programmes for the built environment that can play a key role in achieving not only the objective of reducing emissions but also the improvement of the quality of public spaces and adaptability to climate change. These programs are inspired by an approach we called Tactical Greening. The Tactical Greening approach seeks to use Nature's transformative power to nurture and advance the regeneration of natural, built, social, and economical environment, with the ultimate goal of contributing to improve quality of life and wellbeing in the cities.

Abstract
The Tactical Greening approach seeks to use Nature's transformative power to nurture and advance the regeneration of natural, built, social, and economical environment, with the ultimate goal of contributing to improve quality of life and wellbeing in the cities.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
