La ricerca sul centro UNESCO di Firenze affronta il rapporto tra la città e le attività commerciali che costituiscono un’importante testimonianza della sua evoluzione storica e culturale, rappresentando tradizioni che si riflettono nei fronti urbani e nelle strade. Lo studio ha evidenziato la necessità di integrare alle fasi di documentazione gli aspetti legati al patrimonio immateriale; questi ultimi in particolare definiscono l’autenticità di un luogo e le caratteristiche che, in caso di scomparsa, rischiano di modificare in maniera irreversibile l’ambiente stesso. Il censimento ha riguardato oltre 400 attività commerciali attraverso campagne di documentazione che hanno coinvolto i negozianti e l’approfondimento di alcuni casi a campione analizzati attraverso il rilievo digitale integrato. / The research on the historical centre of Firenze investigates the relationship between the city and commercial activities, which bears witness to its historical and cultural evolution while portraying traditions and social habits that are reflected in the urban fronts and the streets. The study highlighted the need to record the aspects related to intangible heritage in the documentation and survey phases; these aspects define the authenticity of a place and the features that risk irreversibly changing the environment itself in the event of their disappearance. The census investigated more than 400 commercial activities through documentation campaigns involving shopkeepers and the in-depth analysis of some case studies analysed through the integrated digital survey.
