Vehicles used in railway applications are requested to be more and more performable, reliable ad safe. For this reason, Automatic Train Protection Systems (ATPS) are used in railway control to supervise train speed against an allowed speed profile. ERTMS/ETCS is the reference standard of the new European railway signalling and control systems. The standard provides the specification for an interoperable ATPS aimed at improving both safety and performance of railway lines. Together with many innovative aspects and technical advantages, ERTMS/ETCS has brought out a series of issues related to its large level of complexity, as traditional railway validation techniques are unable to manage highly heterogeneous distributed systems. Abstract
In this paper we present the working principles of ERTMS/ETCS and the innovative functional testing approach followed by Ansaldo Segnalamento Ferroviario (ASF) in order to thoroughly test ERTMS/ETCS.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
