The process of connecting full-wave simulators with numeric computing environments is typically done using application programming interfaces. These interfaces involve replacing the variables in the project file with placeholders, which can be a challenging task for designs with numerous variables. This paper demonstrates a method for automatically generating and replacing these placeholders. The interface between MATLAB and HFSS is used as an example, and it is applied to analyze a patch antenna.

Abstract
The process of connecting full-wave simulators with numeric computing environments is typically done using application programming interfaces. These interfaces involve replacing the variables in the project file with placeholders, which can be a challenging task for designs with numerous variables. This paper demonstrates a method for automatically generating and replacing these placeholders. The interface between MATLAB and HFSS is used as an example, and it is applied to analyze a patch antenna.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
