«Once upon a time there were a king and a queen... and they all lived happily ever after». The role of the fairy tale in psychotherapy with children

This contribution aims to bring to the reader’s attention some food for thought about the usefulness of fairy tales in psychotherapy with children. To do this, the case is shown of a 7-year-old girl who will be called Gaia. The use of the fairy tale is a useful channel of communication and sharing in the relationship with the therapist, allowing her to elaborate on emotional and relational problems.
