On a theoretical level, the article highlights the role of the social context in personal development, based on Uri Bronfenbrenner's bioecological theory. On a practical level, it shows the importance, on the one hand, of networking between institutions and professionals engaged in the fight against educational poverty, a phenomenon that has grown worldwide in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, and, on the other, of socio-educational interventions in favour of children and their parents, as illustrated by the example of the ‘Ali per il Futuro’ (‘Wings for the Future’) project illustrated here. The article ends by drawing attention to the multicultural dimension of schools and educational services and inviting educational staff to consider diversity not as an exception, but as a normality.

Abstract
