This paper presents an IoT node architecture suitable for Agrifood supply chain tracking, based on GEO LoRa satellite connectivity. The paper presents data about the current consumption in different profile and, on the basis of a realistic applicative scenario, which include position and physical parameters tracking, assesses a battery life of about 7 years.
