The article is divided into three sections that represent three different focuses on ecology. The first one reconstructs, through Wilson’s work, how biodiversity emerged and became essential within environmental studies. The second one uses Nietzsche’s critique of anthropocentrism to depower human’s claimed centrality on Earth. The last one addresses Gorz’s critique of capitalism to show that ecology can be effective only if it becomes a radical critique of our system of production.

Abstract
The article is divided into three sections that represent three different focuses on ecology. The first one reconstructs, through Wilson’s work, how biodiversity emerged and became essential within environmental studies. The second one uses Nietzsche’s critique of anthropocentrism to depower human’s claimed centrality on Earth. The last one addresses Gorz’s critique of capitalism to show that ecology can be effective only if it becomes a radical critique of our system of production.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
