This brief study reexamines the highly fragmentary text KBo 62.32, found in the House of the GAL MEŠEDI in the Sarıkale valley at Boğazköy, and published by G. Wilhelm. The text, described as a contract in the Syrian style, mentions the title of an official named Tiwazidi. Due to the fragmentary nature of the text, the title has been subject to various interpretations. This contribution presents evidence supporting the reading of the title as GAL KI.LAM, meaning “Chief of the Market”, and explores the possible connection of this title to earlier administrative roles dating back to the Old Assyrian period.
