: It is very important reduce the environmental impact of the healthcare sector, which contributes to 5% of global carbon emissions, with a particular focus on operating rooms, one of the most impactful areas. This study describes the process of translation, adaptation, and validation of the Italian version of the Green Theatre Checklist (GTC), a tool designed to improve environmental sustainability in operating rooms. The checklist was developed by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh to provide practical guidelines on how to minimize carbon emissions during surgical procedures.
